We are a coffee-first site that ranks coffee shops based on:

quality of the coffee, barista expertise, innovation, and consistency.

Our focus is not on ambience, food quality, or customer service, though these may factor into the equation as tie-breakers.

We also list our Current favorite coffee roasters at the bottom of the Home page. Attached to each of them are links to their websites where you can search their website and order some for yourself.

We use a Tier Ranking system that ranks shops not by a score, but by how they compare to one another.

Tier breaks are determined based on a significantly recognizable difference between a coffee shop and the one directly following. Read the title box above The Shops section on the Home page in order to know what each tier means.

The shops on this site are ranked in order from

left-to-right, top-to-bottom (the shop at the top-left is our favorite, with our next favorite coming directly to its right, and least favorite being at the bottom-right of the page.)​

The shops and roasters on this list are not an exhaustive list as they are only places we have physically been to and experienced first-hand. The location given for certain shops may not be the company's main location, but is the location at which we prefer over the other locations we have tried.

Each coffee shop on this site is worth the visit if you are nearby as we have not included the ones we have visited that are not worth trying.
